Terms of Service
Terms governing your use of MapAnimate.
Last updated: August 20, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of MapAnimate, operated by Xanthous Tech LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using MapAnimate, you agree to these Terms.
The service
MapAnimate lets you create and render animated flight map videos. Features, output formats, rendering providers, and storage periods may change as we improve the service. You are responsible for reviewing your project before publishing or relying on an exported video.
Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide an email address you are authorized to use and keep access to your magic links secure. You may not misuse the service, attempt to bypass quotas or security controls, interfere with other users, upload unlawful material, or use MapAnimate in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.
Projects and your content
You retain ownership of the itinerary, labels, and other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, render, and store that content only as needed to operate and support MapAnimate. You represent that you have the rights needed to use your content.
Airport and geographic data may come from third-party or public-domain sources and can contain errors. Map animations are creative visualizations, not navigation or aviation-planning tools.
Video Credits and rendering
Every account receives five lifetime free renders. Paid Video Credits are one-off purchases, stack, and do not expire. A credit or free allowance is reserved when rendering starts and consumed only after a successful video is stored. Every successful re-render consumes another unit.
Paid credits are used before free allowance. Paid output is 1080p at up to 60 FPS without a watermark; free output is 720p at up to 30 FPS with a watermark. We do not promise that every project will render instantly or that capacity will always be available.
Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe-hosted Checkout. Displayed pack prices are in USD and shown as tax-inclusive where configured. You may request a full refund within 14 days only if no credit from that purchase has been consumed. No partial refund is offered after usage except where required by law.
Video availability
The latest free render for a project is normally retained for 30 days; the latest paid render for one year. Superseded videos are hidden and may be retained privately for 30 days for support recovery. These periods are operational targets, not permanent backup guarantees. Keep your own copy of any video you need.
Availability and termination
We may suspend access needed to protect MapAnimate, other users, or third parties, or in response to legal requirements. You may stop using the service at any time. Contact support to request account deletion.
Disclaimers and liability
MapAnimate is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Our aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, except where the law does not permit that limitation.
Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms and will post the revised date here. Material changes apply prospectively. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Xanthous Tech LLC, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer law requires otherwise.
