This Privacy Policy explains how Xanthous Tech LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use MapAnimate.

Information we process

• Account data: your email address, internal user identifier, authentication sessions, language preference, and account timestamps.
• Project data: project names, selected airports, coordinates, route settings, and render configuration.
• Purchase data: the video pack purchased, credit ledger, amount, currency, and Stripe transaction identifiers. We do not receive or store your full card number.
• Service data: request metadata, render status, errors, security logs, and product-usage events needed to operate and improve MapAnimate.
• Public-site analytics: page views collected through Google Analytics with analytics storage denied by default.
• Product analytics: authenticated /app page views, feature events, and masked Session Replay collected through PostHog. We configure replay to mask inputs and project or itinerary content and do not send email addresses, project names, magic links, Stripe identifiers, or R2 object keys as analytics properties.

Stripe Checkout is hosted by Stripe and is not recorded by PostHog Session Replay. We record only that checkout was started and whether the session succeeded, was cancelled on return, or expired—without payment details.

Cookies and similar technology

MapAnimate uses essential cookies for secure magic-link sessions and language preference. The authenticated product uses PostHog to understand feature usage and user experience. Public pages use Google Analytics only for page views, with analytics storage denied. We do not currently display a consent banner because we keep the public analytics configuration cookieless by default; local law may still give you additional rights.

Why we use information

We use information to authenticate users, save projects, render and deliver videos, administer credits and payments, prevent abuse, provide support, diagnose failures, understand product usage, comply with law, and improve MapAnimate.

Providers and transfers

We use Cloudflare for application hosting, D1 database storage, R2 video storage, queues, containers, security, and email delivery; Stripe for payments; PostHog for authenticated product analytics and Session Replay; and Google Analytics for public page views. These providers process data under their own terms and may process it outside your country.

Retention

Account and project data are retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. The latest free video for a project is normally retained for 30 days and the latest paid video for one year. Superseded videos are hidden and retained privately for up to 30 days. Payment and credit records may be retained longer for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal obligations. We keep logs and analytics for a limited period appropriate to their purpose.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information, or object to certain processing. You can also use browser controls to restrict storage and tracking. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Security and children

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no service can guarantee absolute security. MapAnimate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
